Astralis won the quarter-final duel against the top-ranked team

Liquid took the lead on Overpass with Russel "?Twistzz?" Van Dulken downing three CT players. Four kills by Lukas "?gla1ve?" Rossander on a forcebuy put Astralis on the board, 1-4, severely maiming Liquid’s economy. Astralis started to gain ground as Liquid struggled with executes with the map evening out 5-5. After giving up the anti-eco, device won a 1vs3 clutch with an SG553 to keep the match close. Astralis then started to hit B, finding a weakness in Liquid’s defense to turn the match on its head and take the lead into the last stretch, 13-11. The North Americans finally found the way to stop a B attack, bringing it back to within one. Both teams then traded rounds, making it 14-13 for Astralis. The B site ended up being Liquid's Achilles heel as the Danish team exploited it to get on match point, with Astralis closing it the following round against a forcebuy, 16-13.
